Vaccinations. Evolution of the number of doses administered by type of vaccine.
On January 1, 2013, the schedule for the second dose of triple viral vaccine from 6 to 4 years is advanced. Thus, the figure for 2013 includes those born in 2007 and 2009. As of January 1, 2014, those born in 2008 and 2010 will receive the second dose of triple viral vaccine.
Vaccines that are replaced by others are usually given during January and February, and new vaccines begin to be given in March.
Polio: It is replaced in March 2004 by inclusion in Pentavalent (DTPa-Hib-VPI).
TV: Triple viral (Sarampion, Rubeola and Parotiditis).
HB: Hepatitis B. In 2009-2010, the Hepatitis B vaccine was no longer given to 11-year-old preteens, as they had already been vaccinated since childhood. The Hepatitis B vaccine was introduced in the first year of life in 1999.
TD: Tetanus, diphtheria (adults). As of 2001, adults are vaccinated with Tetanus-diphtheria adult type (Td) instead of with Tetanus alone.
DTP-HB-Hib: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenzae type b. In March 2004 the pentavalent DTP-HB-Hib vaccine was replaced with Pentavalent (DTPa-Hib-VPI) at 2, 4 and 6 months of age.
DTPA-Hib:Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (acellular), Haemophilus influenzae type b.
DTPA: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (acellular). In March 2001, the DTPa (Difteria-Tétanos-Tos pertusine acellular) vaccine for those aged 6 years is introduced at age 6 to replace TD. From March 2011 the DTPa vaccine is replaced by dTpa (Difteria (reduced load), Tetanus, pertussis cough (reduced cellar)).
Hexavalent: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (acellular), Haemophilus influenzae type b, Hepatitis B, Inactivated Polio. In March 2006, the 2, 4 and 6-month pentavalent vaccine is replaced by a hexavalent vaccine that also includes Hepatitis B (DTPa-HB-Hib-VPI).
Pentavalent: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (acellular), Haemophilus influenzae type b, Polio Inactivated. In March 2004, the DTP-HB-Hib vaccine together with the oral polio vaccine was replaced by this vaccine (DTPa-Hib-VPI), in addition Hepatitis B is administered. Similarly, the DTP-Hib vaccine, which was administered in children at 18 months of age together with oral polio, is replaced by the same pentavalent vaccine (DTPa-Hib-VPI).
VNC 13v: Pnemococcal conjugate vaccine 13 valente.
Men C: Meningococo C. In 2004, it was administered during the months of May and June, in addition to the usual calendar, in a campaign aimed at those born between 1-1-1984 and 30-11-1994.
Hib: Haemophilus influenzae type b. In 2002 it ceased to be used definitively, as this vaccine had been routinely administered in the pentavalent DTP-HB-Hib vaccine in infants since 1999.
Chickenpox. In 2008 it begins to be administered to 11-year-old preteens who have not been vaccinated before or have not had the disease.
HPV: Human papillomavirus.
