Covid-19 mortality rate by basic health areas
Description
Number of people who died after COVID-19 diagnosis (confirmed and compatible with the disease) by number of health cards in each basic health area. Since March 1, 2021, all those people who have a positive PDIA test in their Electronic Clinical History of primary care in the three months prior to death are counted in this table. Accumulated data since 1 March 2020.
The diagnosis of COVID-19 prior to death does not imply that this disease is necessarily the basic cause of death in all cases. The data contained in this table do not constitute the official death statistics published by the National Statistics Institute. Daily mortality data in hospitals are in the dataset.
Since 15 August 2020, the calculation of the fees has been carried out taking into account the population of health cards registered at that date.
