Contracts for the agri-environment-climate measure in force by district agricultural section

Description

The agri-environmental measures are included in the agri-environment-climate measure 10 of the Rural Development Programme of Castilla y León 2014-2020 still in force until the approval of the new CAP, compliance with these measures implies a multiannual commitment and constitute a higher stratum due to the requirements for environmental protection and climate change mitigation. Within them coexist those of livestock orientation that seek the sustainability of both pastures and stubble, since they favor synergies between the agricultural and livestock use of agricultural areas, such as those of agricultural orientation with measures that reduce the pressure to which these areas are subjected by the intensity of the crops. These are measures based on extensive crop rotations, reduced use of inputs, cultivation of soil-enhancing products, etc. Rural development policy promotes and supports these measures, so that it covers financially the increase in expenditure or the decrease in production that farmers who make use of these commitments may suffer.
