CyL renewables: Steppe Bird Sensitivity

Description

AREAS OF ENVIRONMENTAL SENSITIVITY FOR STEPARY BIRDS IN CASTILLA AND LEÓN. Cartographic information with areas of environmental sensitivity for steppe birds (avutarda, sisón, ganga ibérica, ganga ortega, alondra ricotí, alcaraván and cernícalo primilla) in Castilla y León. In order to provide initial information on the environmental sensitivity of steppe birds to the generation of renewable energy projects in the Castilian-Leonese territory, a map has been prepared on this group of steppe birds, which seeks to serve as guidance to promoters on the areas in which the suitability for the design and location of potential renewable energy projects, especially solar photovoltaic energy, may be evaluated. The submission of this information does not replace the relevant procedures for the environmental impact assessment of projects or prejudge the results of the corresponding environmental impact statements, since they are offered only to facilitate an early assessment from the first stages of defining a potential renewable energy project on the condition of a specific group of species with high environmental sensitivity.
