Files subject to simplified strategic environmental assessment

Description

Strategic environmental assessment is a parallel and complementary procedure to the substantive procedures for the approval or adoption of a plan or programme, and the phases corresponding to the substantive and environmental procedures can be carried out simultaneously. The Simplified Strategic Environmental Assessment (EAES), regulated in articles 29 to 32 of Law 21/2013, of 9 December, on environmental assessment. The strategic environmental report is the finalizing document of the simplified strategic environmental assessment, it has the character of a mandatory and decisive report. It may determine that the plan or programme does not have significant effects on the environment or that it should be subject to a regular strategic environmental assessment. This report will be published in the corresponding Official State Gazette or official journal and without prejudice to its publication on the website of the environmental body.
