Description

High-level sport is considered to be one that is of interest to the State or the Autonomous Community, for reasons such as encouraging the promotion of grassroots sport and the representative role of Spain, or in its case of Castilla y León, in competitions. To be declared a high-level athlete, performance and classification in sports competitions are fundamentally taken into account. High-level athletes can obtain certain benefits, such as scholarships or preferential access for the use of the sports facilities of the Junta de Castilla y León.
