Catalogue of authorities. Entity

These authority records establish in a standardised way the heading that is used in the bibliographic records as access points, associated with an entity and in accordance with the regulations of the specific IFLA Working Groups.

Collective bodies, i.e. organisations, institutions, companies, governments and their dependent bodies, plans and programs, churches, assemblies, etc., that have a name by which they are formally identified, are considered as entities for catalysing purposes.
