Bibliographic catalogue. Manuscripts and personal archives

Description

The bibliographic records of “Manuscripts and Personal Archives” of the National Library of Spain establish in a standardised way the description of the manuscripts and personal files that the BNE houses, in accordance with the technical process regulations: International Standard Book Description (ISBD), Listing Rules and Format MARC21 for bibliographic records. The collection of manuscripts of the BNE consists of medieval codices, many of them with miniatures, dramatic manuscripts, countless autographs, lots of historical and genealogical documents. The collection of personal archives and entities of the BNE is made up of the personal documents of important figures of our culture. In the case of music files, collections generated by the activity of certain entities are also included.
