Waiting list of municipal apartments for the elderly

Description

Municipal Apartments for the Elderly are defined as social service facilities of a residential nature intended for valid elderly people who either lack stable accommodation or have stable accommodation, are inadequate and are in a situation of social risk. These are shared or individual dwellings, in which the users enjoy total independence within the apartment, taking into account that this resource is governed by the Rules of Organization and Functioning of the Center. It is aimed at people over 65 years of age, or 60 in the case of spouses or others who live together at the expense of the applicant. To access this equipment it is essential to have minimum economic resources, subsistence, that guarantee the coverage of their basic needs and, with it, the maintenance of the person in the house. Residents in apartments contribute 20% or 25% of the income they receive if they live in an individual apartment, and 15% or 20% if the apartment is shared, being established annually the percentages of contribution through the Decree approving the table of income, scales and contributions to be applied in the services of care for the elderly. Madrid City Council has two facilities: Municipal Apartments ‘San Francisco’ Municipal Apartments ‘Retiro’ This set of data includes the waiting list for access to municipal apartments for the elderly, whose order of priority is determined by the score obtained by application of the social scale. This waiting list may be altered by the inclusion of new cases or the existence of urgent cases.
