Bike, motorcycle and pedestrian capacity campaigns

In this data set, the figures for the capacity of bicycles, motorcycles and other vehicles are given. From 2008 to 2018 information has been given on 5 areas of the city and with data from 15 points. The campaigns were carried out once a year, in a specific month (approximately May) and in a period of time of one hour. Only the number of vehicles passing through that point is evaluated and the trend is evaluated, since these are fixed points where it has been measuring for years. From 2019 the realization of the new campaigns are made with 35 recording systems. The system is composed of a 1920x1080 resolution video camera, 25 fps and a 105&ordm viewing angle; horizontally. This camera is very low consumption and small dimensions, to facilitate its location along with a 20000 mAh battery in a watertight box. It is a very versatile system that allows locations on poles or even trees, without the need to make permanent installations. Subsequently, the cameras are collected and the videos are processed with a video analytics software called BriefCam. Using this software you can classify the different types of vehicles (cars, buses, motorcycles, ) bicycles and pedestrians, as well as the movements that are made. Data interruption Explanatory note There has been an interruption in the collection of mobility data between August 2021 and September 2022 as a result of the change and adjustment of the installed detectors. The datasets that were affected are: Data from permanent pedestrian seating stations Data from permanent bicycle seating stations Traffic speed data from the 120 permanent vehicle seating stations Following these changes, the 2021 and 2022 annual reports work on the available data for the months of January to July, for 2021, and for the months of September to December, for 2022. It is cautioned that the comparison of these data sets is not recommended as the parameters and measurement technology have been changed in order to improve the quality of the information obtained.
