Protocol and travel expenses (Corporation 2015-2019)

In accordance with the provisions of article 9.2.f) of the Transparency Ordinance of the City of Madrid, effective from August 17, 2017 (Final provision eighth b), information regarding protocol expenses, daily allowances and travel expenses during the Corporation 2015-2019 is published in this section. The information is presented differentiated in: Protocol expenses of the Mayor and councilors with government responsibilities, specifying date and reason as well as detail of the amounts corresponding to institutional meals, food products, flowers, catering, trophies and distinctions, and other possible expenses not included in the previous ones. Protocol and representation expenses are considered those that, resulting in the benefit or usefulness of the Administration and not assuming remuneration in cash or in kind, the Mayor and the Councilors with government responsibilities, have a need to perform in the performance of their functions. Travel expenses of the Mayor, councilors, owners of the management bodies and staff at the service of the entities included in article 2.1 of the Ordinance, indicating the date and reason, as well as the amounts corresponding to transport, accommodation, maintenance and other possible expenses not included in the previous ones. Only the identification and position of the person who makes the expenditure is published when it comes to the Mayor, councilors and holders of governing bodies; in all other cases, only the person’s highest secondment body is indicated. To facilitate the comparative analysis of the expenses, all the holders and municipal bodies active at some point in the period to which the file refers are listed, without any amount being recorded when no expense had occurred.
