30th Street traffic. Traffic estimates between inputs and outputs (Webservice)
Description
The traffic sensorization is carried out by means of various equipments that allow the realization of the count of vehicles together with the obtaining of the degree of occupation of the road. These detection systems are, for the most part, electromagnetic loops that are placed under the pavement and detect the metal mass of the vehicles that pass over them, being systems of great quality and precision. Through these data, calculations can be made to estimate the number of vehicles that have circulated through each of the sections and, knowing the structure of the road (entries and exits) which is the totality of vehicles that have circulated throughout Calle 30, its speed or average kilometers traveled. This calculation is carried out constantly and saved, on a daily basis, for both surface and tunnels. To perform this calculation there are two data sources for this calculation: Data associated with surface measurement points, offered by the Directorate-General for Traffic Management and Surveillance. Data associated with tunnel measurement points, obtained directly by Madrid Calle 30. The possible inputs and outputs that the web service accepts as an argument are defined in the files that we can find in the data set “Traffic Calle 30. Traffic estimates between the different entrances and exits”. There is another set of data in the portal, with this same information, providing at all times a table in XML, with the main combinations and additionally with the table of inputs and outputs of Calle 30.
