Description

Public consultations are one of the instruments of citizen participation that the City Council of Madrid enables citizens to provide opinions and ideas on various issues of municipal competence. Participation in public consultations is carried out through Decide Madrid, the digital platform launched by the Madrid City Council to facilitate and encourage the direct and individual participation of citizens in the affairs of the city, involving it in the generation of ideas and proposals, in order to improve their quality of life. The minimum content that a public consultation must have in Decide Madrid is as follows: A section 'What it consists of', which will include the subject of the consultation. The start and end dates of the consultation. The section 'How to participate', which will include the requirements to participate in the consultation. A form with the issues of interest on which you want to collect opinions or ideas on the subject of the consultation. In this case, statistical information is collected on citizen participation in citizen consultations carried out from 2004 to 2013. The consultation of the Centro district, in 2004, was done by mobile, not online.
