Monitoring of common birds in Spanish national parks
Description
It contains the data resulting from the monitoring of common birds that has been carried out, since 2011, in Spanish national parks at two times of the year, with which winter birds (transects of the SACIN program) and breeding birds are studied in spring (sacre listening stations). In order to obtain information on the trend of common bird populations in winter and spring, censuses are carried out in the same sampling routes or listening stations over a long series of years, following the Sacin and Sacre methodology of SEO/BirdLife. Each winter transect is traveled twice between November 15 and February 15, for 15 minutes, recording the number of birds detected within and outside a radius of 25 meters. In each spring listening station, which is sampled twice between May 15 and June 15, the number of birds detected within and outside a radius of 25 meters is recorded. The initiative is integrated into the Monitoring and Evaluation Plan of the National Parks Network.
