Monitoring of the phenology of forest species in Spanish national parks
Description
It contains information on the state and development of the different annual phases of vegetation at monitoring points located in three different biogeographical regions (eurosiberian, Mediterranean and Macaronesian), represented for this initiative of monitoring by the national parks of Picos de Europa, Cabañeros and Teide. Phenological monitoring is carried out through the systematic observation and recording of the development of the different annual phases of vegetation and biotic and abiotic phenomena. For the selection of the monitoring points, the presence of the main representative species has been taken into account, as well as their location in different environments that present different environmental conditions in terms of altitude, orientation, composition of the mass (pure and mixed). The initiative is integrated into the Monitoring and Evaluation Plan of the National Parks Network.
