2793|ATTENTION TO PATIENTS WITH TERMINAL PHASE DISEASE

Description

The main objective of the proposed research was to help the design of a questionnaire for the realization of a quantitative study on this subject (study 2803 ATTENTION TO PATIENTS WITH DISEASES IN THE TERMINAL PHASE). Secondarily, the research aimed to address, among others, the following partial objectives: - Options for the end-of-life situation, irreversible illness or terminal illness:palliative care, early willingness, informed consent, assisted suicide, etc. - The meaning of the concepts: euthanasia, dignified death, palliative care, anticipated wills, assisted suicide, informed consent, limitation of therapeutic effort, palliative sedation, rejection of treatment. The results of a qualitative study cannot be extrapolated to the population as a whole, due to the process of selecting participants, methods of collecting information and the size of the sample.
