Description

The aim of the study is to deepen the knowledge of attitudes that the population Spain has developed in relation to immigration and the immigrant population. This objective has been disaggregated into the following aspects: - Analyze the system of opinions, attitudes and discourses in the presence of immigration in Spain. - Analysis of immigration in the set of citizen concerns. - Degree of crystallization of opinions on immigration as a possible 'cause' of the aforementioned social problems. - Analysis of the system of opinions and more general attitudes towards immigration. - Analysis of possible systems of global discourses on immigration: possible more favorable discourses, possible more neutral or ambivalent discourses, possible more segregative discourses, possible more xenophobic discourses. - The possible impact of the economic crisis on the social imaginary about immigrants. - The possible political translation of the presence of immigration in Spain. The indent that has been widely followed is as follows: - An open first part. - Part Two: take up what they have said and place plans for debate: Neighbourhood cohabitation, access to public services, education, housing, health and social services, work, unemployment and employment support, the current crisis and immigration, security, religion and culture. - Part Three: that immigrants bring to Spain, to the Spaniards. - Part Four: system of differences between groups of immigrants. Inquire into the reasons for the differences. - Part Five: What is meant by integration? Work? Speak the language?Pay taxes? Accept norms and values? Voting in elections? - Part Six: immigration measures: contracts at source, family reunifications. Municipal vote. - Part Seven: image of political forces and the treatment of immigration.
