OBJECTIVES:
Study the media agenda through a follow-up of the reference press and through its relationship with the citizen agenda, as can be seen from the barometers of the CIS. The main purpose of press monitoring is to identify the dominant frames throughout the observation period ("framing"), while the study of the relationship between media agenda and citizen agenda allows a first approach to possible "agenda setting" phenomena.
The specific objectives are:
-Make a media monitoring focused on the reference press, understanding as such the one that by its influence and prestige has the capacity to mark the agenda of public opinion.
-Identify the frames that shape the perception of the political situation in each case (diagnosis of the problem and attribution of responsibility).
-Monitor news on the image of political parties and leaders.
-Analyse the relationship between the media agenda and citizens' concerns and opinions.
