Description

- Evaluation of the political situation in the Balearic Islands, current and retrospective to two years. - Assessment of the economic situation of the Balearic Islands, current and expectations to one year. - Major problems of the Balearic Islands. - Two-year retrospective assessment of the following issues in the Balearic Islands: citizen security, employment, health, public transport, environment, public works, regional administration, drugs, social services, transparency in public life, industry, agriculture, tourism, water supply and education. - Knowledge of the government responsible for public education in the Balearic Islands: central or regional. - Opinion on the existence of quality differences between public and private/concerted education in non-university education. - Opinion on the policy maintained by the Balearic Government on the use of the two official languages in schools. - Assessment of the current work of the Balearic Government and the opposition. - Opinion on whether the Balearic Government has demonstrated: honesty, efficiency, knowledge of the problems of the Balearic Islands, capacity for dialogue, communication with the man in the street and defense of the interests of the Balearic Islands. - Approval of the work of the Balearic Government. - Opinion on the situation in the Balearic Islands in the event that the opposition was in charge of the Balearic Government. - Knowledge and opinion on the project 'Guidelines for Spatial Planning', presented by the Balearic Government, and which will regulate future land uses in the Balearic Islands. - Opinion on the need for the construction of a motorway linking Palma with Manacor. - Opinion on the possible creation of a residence for high personalities to spend the summer in Alcudia. - Knowledge and opinion about the 'Mirall' project, presented by the Balearic Government and the municipalities, and which will reform urban areas. - Assessment of the performance of the president of the Balearic Government Jaume Matas since he is in charge of the regional government. - Degree of trust in President Jaume Matas. - Approval of the personal performance of Jaume Matas as president of the Balearic Government. - Opinion on the initiative taken to the Congress of Deputies so that the Balearic Islands have a special regime, to compensate for the costs of their insularity. - Knowledge and opinion on the reductions in personal income tax that the Balearic Government has introduced. - Evaluation of the type of relationship between the central and regional administrations. - Assessment of the policy carried out by the current Balearic Government with respect to the central government. - Degree of agreement with phrases related to the vote to regional/national parties. - Opinion on whether it is advantageous for the central government and the Balearic Government to belong to the same party. - Recall of the vote in the regional elections of May 1995 and in the general elections of March 1996. - Degree of closeness to different political parties. - Political ideology scale of the interviewee.
