- Degree of interest and information on the following topics: political, scientific, economic, labour, technological and medical, sporting, cultural, international, religious and social developments. - Frequency with which it carries out activities related to science and technology. - Expectations of the possible risks or benefits that the development of science and technology will bring. - Opinion on the degree of contribution, to improve the quality of life, of the following technological innovations: computer science, genetics, space exploration, biotechnology, solar energy, telecommunications, in vitro fertilization, nuclear energy and organ transplants. - Preference for further development or limitation, in the coming years, of previous technological innovations. - Degree according to phrases related to the environment and scientific and technological development. - Opinion on the degree of danger to humans and the environment of advances in genetic engineering and the environment. - Opinion on the application of genetic engineering in: cells of plants, animals and humans, human embryos and bacteria. - Degree according to different views on biotechnology and genetic engineering. - Scale of acceptance of the use of genetic engineering for the following purposes: more resistant crops, fattening livestock and fish, getting bacteria to clean up oil slicks, getting more milk production, diagnosing hereditary diseases and applying new medical treatments. - Willingness to consume potatoes to which maize genes have been introduced, in order to increase their nutritional value. - Grade according to the use of genetic engineering in human cells for the following purposes: improving heredity and preventing it from leading to serious or minor genetic diseases, reducing the risk of subsequent diseases and improving the intelligence that children can inherit. - Personal interest in a diagnosis and subsequent medical treatment of a genetic nature that would correct defective genes if they had them. - Opinion on what the personality of an individual depends on: biological inheritance/education and environment received. - Opinion on the use of assisted reproduction techniques (in vitro fertilization or artificial insemination) for couples who cannot and wish to have children. - Personal willingness to use the above techniques. - Use by the interviewee and/or his/her partner or family, friends and acquaintances, of these techniques. - Scale of acceptance of different situations where assisted reproduction techniques offer the possibility of having a child. - Preference, before the desire of a child and have fertility problems, assisted reproduction / adoption techniques. - Scale of acceptance of the choice of fertilized eggs to implant in the uterus and thus: avoid genetic diseases, achieve certain physical or mental characteristics and be able to choose sex. - Personal interest in undergoing a genetic diagnosis and knowing if a child of yours may in the future suffer from a serious genetic disease. - Interest, in the case of a pregnancy, to have information about the fetus in the first months of gestation, and, in the case of a diagnosis of a serious and incurable hereditary disease, to perform an abortion. - Degree of willingness to subject a child, already diagnosed as suffering from a serious genetic disease, to genetic treatment that corrects the defective genes. - Opinion on who should bear the costs caused by a serious hereditary disease in a child, when the parents voluntarily decided to have it. - Financing of the Welfare State.
