Expenditure on pharmaceutical and health products in the Autonomous Communities
Description
Set of indicators that allow monitoring and evaluation of the evolution of pharmaceutical expenditure, both hospital and out-of-hospital, as well as expenditure on health and real investments in health matters in the Autonomous Communities. The data are produced and published on a monthly basis and relate to hospital pharmaceutical expenditure, expenditure on pharmaceuticals and health products by prescription or dispensing order and expenditure on medical devices without a prescription or dispensing order, including both the amounts of accumulated accrued expenditure and the annual rates of change. In view of the extraordinary circumstances or of particular interest that may arise, content with additional specific information has been added; thus, until December 2018, the effect on expenditure on medicines for the treatment of Hepatitis C was considered and, as of August 2020, additional information was added in relation to spending on over-the-counter medical devices associated with the treatment of COVID-19.
