Description
This thesaurus is the first part of a great work of compiling and systematising terminology related to the materiality of cultural goods. The objective is to serve as a source of knowledge for its cataloguing and as a tool for terminological standardisation on cultural heritage assets. More than 1,700 terms are offered in LOD for consultation, download and link. Each term is accompanied by a definition, scope notes, bibliography and link to the Digital Network of Museum Collections of Spain and, in many of the terms referenced, demonstrative images. Various functionalities are presented, such as SPARQL consultation point, alphabetical and hierarchical search of terms, as well as 1,236 links to other information resources (List of Headings of Matter for Public Libraries of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, List of Heads of Matter of the Library of Catalonia, the national libraries of France, Holland and Germany, the thesaurus of Getty Research Institute, Library of the American Congress, Dbpedia and Geonames).
