Mayor’s representation expenses – Tours

Description

The City of Tours is committed to a process of transparency of its action, aimed at making public datasets of public interest. This approach is gradually being implemented: in particular, the amount of municipal elected representatives’ allowances and the list of representations in external bodies provided by elected officials as part of their municipal mandate are available on the Open Data portal since 2020. Particular attention is paid to the expenses incurred by the Mayor and elected officials during their travels and representations, in order to participate in the overall effort of sobriety of the community: by favouring more sober and less polluting modes of travel, by relinquishing the post of driver dedicated to the Mayor’s travel, or by reducing the amount of expenses budgeted for representation. The use of the Mayor’s representation costs is supervised and monitored: within the community through financial services and human resources with regard to travel, and then by the public accountant, the sole agent of the State authorised to pay the expenses. Representation expenses of the Mayor of Tours This dataset identifies the expenses incurred for the Mayor’s representation and mission expenses since the beginning of the current term of office. These costs are authorised by deliberation of the municipal council, pursuant to Article L.2123-19 of the General Code of Local and Regional Authorities. The purpose of this allowance is to cover the expenses incurred by the mayor and he alone, in the exercise of his duties and in the interests of the affairs of the municipality. this is an envelope intended to cover the costs inherent in the office of mayor, upon presentation of supporting documents, and within the limit of the amount authorised by the municipal council. This dataset, which covers the period from July 2020 to December 2022, will be updated annually, following the adoption by the City Council of the previous year’s administrative account. The “order number” column corresponds to the order form issued by the community. The same order form can group different expenses of the same nature. Related receipts are accessible via the links contained in the dataset.
