Description
Dataset of daily bike counts by meter and location of counting sites.
This dataset is loaded daily (around 12:30) on the API of our partner Eco Compteur, provider of Zelt or Easy-Zelt loop counting technology (electromagnetic loops to distinguish bicycles from other users of an infrastructure).
Meters are preferentially implanted on axes where flows are concentrated. The position of Tours between the Loire and the Cher led to equip, initially, the bridges. A counting site can be equipped with one or two meters depending on the site configuration. When this is the case, a virtual meter ending in “TOTAL” performs the sum of the two meters on the same site.
This dataset presents all daily counts since the implementation of the first meters in 2016. Since December 2019, two displays have also been installed. Their data goes back up in the same way as the meters.
**Additional information:**
* The meters “Pont de Fil” and “Passerelle Ile Balzac” are mixed meters, they provide the total of pedestrians and daily bikes.
