Cutting of Tours Assemblies
The assemblies are part of the _permanent democracy*_ policy implemented by the City. All inhabitants from 11 years old, associations, collectives of a sector of an Assembly are members by right of it. The Assemblies work in the general interest, are the force of proposals and are informed or consulted for projects initiated and supported by the City in their geographical area. They meet at least twice a year in plenary meetings open to the public.
_* Permanent democracy allows residents to get involved near home, with the people who live in Tours, to act collectively and concretely at the service of the whole city by articulating participatory and representative democracy.
