Infectious situation in Sweden for animal diseases and zoonoses 2023
Description
Since 2009, the National Veterinary Institute (SVA) has published an annual report describing the epidemiological situation in Sweden for animal diseases and zoonoses based on the results of disease monitoring carried out in the country during the previous year. This year's report is the 15th in order, and the first to be published in Swedish. The report covers monitoring of important animal diseases and zoonotic agents in animals, humans, food and feed and is written and compiled by experts from the National Veterinary Institute, the Public Health Agency of Sweden, the National Food Agency, SLU, the Swedish Board of Agriculture and the animal health organisations Växa and Gård & Djurhälsan, i.e. the actors who have a role in Swedish disease monitoring along the entire food chain - from farm to fork.
