Commercial Development Areas on Rennes Métropole
Description
This layer of polygons represents the commercial development areas identified as part of the SCoT of the Pays de Rennes. Its control is limited to the territory of Rennes Métropole.
In order to avoid the spread of shops and thus to be able to organise their services by public transport and active modes as best as possible, large commercial projects, if they cannot be located in a centrality, will settle preferentially in a commercial development area. Commercial development zones (ZACom) concern sites that, by their size, location or urban characteristics, pose challenges for SCoT in terms of spatial planning and sustainable development.
The ZAComs are delimited in the DAC taking into account the requirements of spatial planning, in particular the economic consumption of agricultural and natural land.
Thus, the delimitation of the ZACom is based on the current perimeter of their urbanised right-of-way or to be urbanised in order to reduce land consumption.

\- NBCom = nb trade survey PIvadis 2011
\- nbvac = nb vacant business
\- area = total sales area (SVT)
\- surf300 = sales area only for shops of more than 300 m²
\- ca = 2011 turnover
\- ensnat = nb of national brands
\- a1..a9 = sectors of activity
