Itineraries of exceptional convoys according to their tonnage on Rennes Métropole
Description
Exceptional transport concerns the movement in exceptional convoys of goods, machinery or vehicles whose dimensions or weight exceed the prescribed limits and are likely to hinder traffic or cause accidents. This transport is subject to prior authorisation and strict conditions.
Exceptional transport traffic is regulated by Articles R. 433-1 to R. 433-6 of the Highway Code and by the amended Decree of 4 May 2006 on exceptional transport.
This layer makes it possible to locate the sections of track authorised to goods, machinery or vehicles classified as exceptional convoys according to three levels of the national road network (TE120, TE94 and TE72) defined by an order dated 05 July 2017.
These networks are defined by aggregating the departmental road networks fixed by order (as of 21 April 2017 for the department of Ille-et-Vilaine).
