Prioritisation of the roads of Rennes Métropole
Description
This layer represents the prioritisation of the roads of Rennes Métropole. The latter prioritises the sections of the road network it manages in order to adapt its level of service to traffic, safety and management issues.
2 types of prioritisation are proposed:
The prioritisation of the Direction de la Cheminie, which is divided into 5 levels:
\- National road;
\- Transit network;
\- Structuring network;
\- Distribution network;
\- Service network.
=> the “Transit Network” corresponds to the strategic network consisting of 4 axes converging towards Rennes and the second belt of Rennes (former department roads of category A and B);
=> the “structuring network” corresponds to the network structuring the metropolis and the municipalities (former C departmental roads, and former municipal arterial roads, agglomeration service belt, urban area structuring route);
=> the “Distribution Network” corresponds to the distribution grid at the scale of a district or municipality (former D-category departmental roads, and former communal lanes of type of distribution, communal main road, main street outside agglomeration, urban service route);
=> the “Service network” corresponds to the fine mesh size of local intra-neighborhood or rural service (former communal roads of type of service, inter-district road, local service route).
The prioritisation of the Urban Displacement Plan (PDU) which breaks down into 6 levels:
\- National network;
\- Rebar network;
\- Support network;
\- Main distribution network;
\- Secondary distribution network;
\- Service network.
This layer is therefore represented in the form of 2 styles on the Geographic Data Portal.
