Terrestrial wind, wind turbine mats and authorisations in Pays de la Loire

Description

Wind energy is produced from the force of the wind, thanks to a wind turbine, which transforms the mechanical energy of the wind into electrical energy. The wind turbine or wind generator, consists of a mast on which is attached a propeller that turns the wind. Onshore wind is distinguished from offshore wind – or offshore wind (receiving more frequent, stronger and more regular winds than onshore). This table contains wind turbines whose authorisation has been granted, modified, refused, cancelled or left without action (only wind turbines whose building permit is deposited, i.e. projects under investigation, are not disseminated in this table). Projects for power generation installations using wind mechanical energy shall not be allowed a single prefectural order, referred to as the ‘single authorisation’. This single authorisation constitutes authorisation under Article L.512-1 of the Environmental Code and, where applicable, building permits under Article L.421-1 of the Urban Planning Code, clearance under Articles L.214-13 and L.341-3 of the Forest Code, authorisation to operate under Article L.311-1 of the Energy Code, approval under Article L.323-11 of the same code and derogation under 4° of Article L.411-2 of the Environmental Code. Since the National Environmental Commitment Act known as “Grenelle II”, a minimum distance threshold between future wind turbine installations and dwellings has been introduced. In the absence of precision in the single authorisation, the rules for reversing the public track or right of way and separative limits shall apply at any point of the wind turbine, at the end of the blade in a horizontal position.
