Description
The proposed data have been produced as part of the animation of the online section ‘Archive du mois de...’ by the Regional Archives of Pays de la Loire, since October 2008. The purpose of this online section for the public is to present each month one or more documents from regional archives, reflecting local or national news, chosen for their graphic, documentary or historical interest, or even anecdotal. This type of valuation is carried out by several French public or private archives. The document or documents are entered, contextualised and commented on and, above all, reproduced in colour on the page created each month entitled ‘The archive for the month of [month] [year]’.
The information contained in the game provides information on: the topic, the introduction of the text, the origin of the documents, the keywords associated with the page, the types of documents presented and the exact URL of the page.
Among the many topics discussed since 2008, they make it possible to find in particular certain topics relating to the history of the regional institution (first meeting of the Regional Council, construction of the Hôtel de Région, evolution of the logo, etc.), the population and the territory of the Pays de la Loire (economic life, apprenticeship, etc.) but also national history (European vision of General De Gaulle, creation of the DATAR, etc.). In this way, they reflect the diversity of affordable subjects through the public and private funds held at the Regional Archives.
The months missing from the dataset correspond to months without publication in the section.
