Professional descriptions from education.no
Description
The dataset contains textual descriptions and classification of over 350 different educations. The educations are written by the editorial staff at education.no.

Each educational description has a unique persistent identifier called “comparison_id”. All educational descriptions have a “comparison_id” that begins with “u_” and consists of ascii characters. The education description can be retrieved using either “comparison_id” or using the numeric internal ID internally (which is not included in this API).
Each educational description has a title field (title). This is stable but changes in very rare cases where the education changes its name.
In the field “nus” the educational descriptions are tagged with relevant educational categories in Statistics Norway’s official category system
Standard Classification of Education, NUS. The codes they are either tagged with the highest level of detail, which are 6-digit NUS code or they are tagged with the Overcategory, which is 4-digit NUS code.
Education description is also tagged thematically with interests. This categorisation is made by the editorial staff of education.no and is not related to national or international standards.

Purpose: The education descriptions have briefly explain what the subject area is about, how long education it has and (formal) admission requirements. The main objective is to be able to list all approved educational programmes within the education category so that it becomes possible to get an overview of which educational institutions offer which education.
