Most people will immediately be able to identify some of the most well-known species we find in Norway, and many nature lovers can determine a lot more within certain species groups.
However, with over 45,000 species in Norway, which are often only distinguished on the basis of small details, it is impossible to distinguish between all species without aids.
The Norwegian Arts Data Bank publishes digital, expert-written keys to make it easier to identify and learn more about species in Norway.
