Description
The Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation (KMD) has ambitions to renew, simplify and improve the public sector. As part of this simplification work, efforts are made to identify, reduce and remove so-called time thieves. Government agencies have therefore proposed simplification and removal of regulations, procedures, etc. that are decided by other authorities. Time thieves in management are activities that one spends too much time on in relation to what is appropriate to achieve the objectives of the business. It can be unnecessary reporting, duplication of work, inappropriate routines. For users and businesses, time thieves can be unnecessary time they have to spend dealing with the public sector. It can be difficult forms to be filled out, missing web solutions, & bureaucratic schemes &; etc. Time thieves may be caused by circumstances that the company and management itself can do something about, such as cumbersome work routines, lack of IT systems, competence, etc. Time thieves may also be due to circumstances the company has no control over, such as law, regulations, reporting requirements and procedures laid down by other authorities.
