Documents published under the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED)
Description
The Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) provides for public transparency on matters relating to industrial emissions activities. Among other things, regulation should contribute to improved accountability, increase the transparency of decision-making processes and strengthen the legitimacy of various decisions. In order to meet this objective, the IED requires the making available of environmental information.
According to Article 24(2) of the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED), certain specified information on decisions taken concerning permits, reviews or updates of permits must be made available to the public.
The county administrative boards and the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency collaborate on publishing information on IED-related documents. In the ‘National metadata catalogue for environmental documents’ service, you can search for information on the county administrative boards’ supervisory reports, exemptions, permit decisions, etc. On the page you can search for free text or search by industry, document type, geographical area, etc. The search result shows more information about the document you have searched for and a link to the publishing county administrative board where the document can be requested.
