The map of producers in short circuits of Nantes Métropole aims to highlight the farmers of the territory by facilitating the consumption of products from short circuits. The development of these circuits is part of the ambitions of the Territorial Food Project (PAT) of Nantes Métropole, one of the axes of which is the “approximation of producers with consumers”.
These data do not identify all producers in Nantes Métropole: some do not market in short circuits but in long circuits, others do not wish to appear on this map or have not responded to requests. The data was collected in part by the Chamber of Agriculture in 2023, which contacted the 245 operators of Nantes Métropole by email or telephone. Some 60 responses were collected through this process.

Producers can thus inform their farms and detail their marketing methods in short circuits.
