COVID-19: Total (cumulative) number of tests performed (v2)

Description

Dataset containing incremental and cumulative daily numbers of PCR tests performed, distinguishing between first-time tests (number of tests in a given day after correction for repeat and control tests) and repeated tests in the same person for COVID-19 as reported by laboratories. The dataset replaces the previous version available at https://onemocneni-aktualne.mzcr.cz/api/v1/covid-19/ . Primostats are available as of 1 August 2020 for the completeness of the reported data by individual laboratories at individual level. In the previous period, there is a risk of incompleteness of these individual data and therefore, until 31 July, we rely only on aggregated data, which, however, do not allow for more complex analytical calculations. The dataset with COVID-19 diagnostic tests is from 16. 11. 2020 supplemented according to ECDC international methodologies that calculate the (%) positive test rate for the total number of RT-PCR tests performed ( https://www.ecdc.europa.eu/en/publications-data/covid-19-testing ). The completed datasets respond to the start of antigen testing in the Czech Republic and ensure compliance with internationally published data reported abroad by the Czech Republic according to ECDC methodologies. Only primary positive tests continue to be considered as tests determining the daily number of newly diagnosed cases. The main reason for completing the dataset is the start of antigen testing in the Czech Republic, for which repeated PCR testing is indicated as confirmatory and cannot be excluded from central statistics in the event of a negative result. The dataset does not yet include the results of the antigen tests themselves, their inclusion will be decided on the basis of international recommendations, which will be updated in this sense soon. The adjustment now made means that until the calculation of the risk index 23. 11. The 7-day time series of the number of tests supplemented and derived according to the above-mentioned ECDC methodology was included in 2020, which leads to a shift in the results of the rate (%) positive to the number of tests (test positivity rate) compared to the risk index from 22. 11. 2020, which only counts tests without the above additions. This change is also reflected in the open datasets of the number of tests allowing manual calculation of the risk index. The dataset is no longer updated and is replaced by the set available at https://onemocneni-aktualne.mzcr.cz/api/v2/covid-19/testy-pcr-antigenni.csv .
