COVID-19: Intensive care online dispatching – spare capacities by healthcare facility (October 2021)
Description
Data set by regions of the Czech Republic containing daily overviews of changes in spare capacities in acute care hospitals (total numbers of available beds and devices together with spare capacities in individual days) in connection with the COVID-19 outbreak. The data set contains reports about the following parameters: beds (standard with oxygen), beds (with possibility of HFNO), beds (with possibility of UPV), beds (infection department with oxygen), beds (infection department with possibility of HFNO), beds (infection department with possibility of UPV), instruments: ECMO, instruments: CVVHD, instruments: portable fans, apparatus: anaesthesia apparatus with a ventilator. The data have been available since 21 October 2021, when a new version of the Online Intensive Care Dispatching web application was deployed, which includes a new division into non-infectious (standard) beds and beds in infectious wards. This change will allow for more accurate monitoring and possibilities of providing specialized care, especially in the period after the COVID-19 epidemic in the Czech Republic. When updating the data, the primary purpose of use of the device is always taken into account and, in accordance with this purpose, the free capacity is filled (for example, if the bed with the UPV device, which is also equipped with the HFNO function, then it is put into the bed group (with the UPV option). Beds are always reported only in combination with a given instrument (oxygen, HFNO, UPV), separate records of these instruments do not provide the necessary information for monitoring and planning IP capacities.
