Diabetology: Diabetes mellitus in the population of the Czech Republic
Description
As part of the publication of data from the National Register of Paid Health Services (NRHZS), a data set was created providing information on the occurrence and treatment of diabetes mellitus in the Czech Republic in the form of anonymised data. The data set allows to evaluate the epidemiological characteristics of DM (incidence, prevalence, mortality) and the method of treatment of DM in the population of the Czech Republic from 2010 to the last closed year. The user is allowed to stratify the data obtained in individual years according to the demographic characteristics of the patients (sex, age, region or district of residence). One record (row) of the dataset contains information on the occurrence and treatment of diabetes mellitus in one patient over a period of one year; This is called Patient Year. Through the identifier of a unique patient formed by a randomly assigned natural number, it is possible to link the patient's records from individual years. The dataset is created in accordance with the national methodology for the creation of open data and is available in the national catalogue.
