Description

The Energy Performance Diagnostic (EPD) provides information on the energy performance of a dwelling or building, assessing its energy consumption and its impact in terms of greenhouse gas emissions. The content and modalities of the establishment of the EPD are regulated. The EPD describes the building or dwelling (surface, orientation, walls, windows, materials, etc.), as well as its heating, domestic hot water, cooling and ventilation equipment. It shall indicate, depending on the case, either the amount of energy actually consumed (based on bills) or the estimated energy consumption for standardised use of the building or dwelling. The reading of the DPE is facilitated by two labels with 7 classes from A to G (A corresponding to the best performance, G to the worst): The energy label to know the primary energy consumption; * The climate label to know the amount of greenhouse gases emitted. * The energy performance diagnosis must be established by an independent professional who meets competence criteria and has taken out insurance.
