Traffic on departmental roads of Loire-Atlantique
Description
Annual and quarterly traffic of cars and heavy goods vehicles on the departmental roads of Loire-Atlantique.

Traffic is calculated using two counting methods which are:
**Permanent counts:** the Department has 43 counting stations providing hourly data in TV (All Vehicles) and PL (Heavy Weight).
Data acquisition takes place over the full year.
**Turning counts:** The Department performs an average of 130 measurement points per year. The measurement points are divided between the major network and the local service network. Measurement point count cycles vary according to the hierarchy of the network:
* Major network: measured every 2 years
* Local service network: measured every 5 years
Data acquisition takes place over a period of 7 consecutive days (excluding holidays and public holidays) four times a year at the rate of one count per quarter.
The data is updated once a year for the entire previous year.
The formula for calculating annual average daily traffic and average working-day traffic shall be carried out using the following formula: ((T1x3)+(T2x3)+(T3x1)+(T4x3))/10
