Departmental cycling projects in Loire-Atlantique
Description
The 2017-2027 departmental cycle route diagram foresees the development of 370 km to bring the Department’s cycle network to a linear of approximately 770 km.

A new envelope of EUR 20 million is planned for the development of these new routes. In order to ensure a fair mesh size of the territory, a phase of interventions has been established according to different priorities. Here are the main ones:
* Intermodality: connection with stations, a public transit system or major carpools.
* Road safety: the arrangements must respond to the problems that arise.
* The service: the number of town centres, activity areas and colleges on the way.
The tourist interest, but also the relationship with cultural, heritage or sports sites are also taken into account. On the basis of these criteria, multiannual programming over the next ten years has been established.
