Regional Scheme of Ecological Coherence – Diagnosis

Description

Geographical layer covering the entire regional territory by hexagonal meshes defining ecological issues leading to the definition of the Regional Ecological Coherence Scheme in Languedoc-Rousillon. Each mesh (hexagonal polygon) contains a combination of indicators characterising ecological importance on the one hand, and the human footprint on the other. This data reveals areas of high tension between human activity and ecological interest. The production methodology was entrusted to the CNRS CEFE laboratory in 2013.
