Description
The Pôles d’Equilibre Territoriaux et Ruraux (PETR), created by law of 27 January 2014, are intended to be a tool of cooperation between EPCI in territories located outside metropolises, rural or not. With reference to Article L5741-1 CGCT, they are public institutions formed by agreement between several EPCIs with own taxation, within a perimeter of a single contiguous and without enclave corresponding to a basin of life or population. An EPCI with own taxation may not belong to more than one pole of territorial and rural balance.
The Region monitors the perimeters of these Territories that have evolved according to the new inter-municipal map of 2017.
This monitoring is carried out in direct connection with the Prefectures of Departments and in the context of the implementation of regional territorial policies.
This database presents **the 30 PETRs of the Occitanie Region headquartered in the Region and the Nouvelle Aquitaine Region (PETR Adour Chalosse Tursan).**
