The eSGBU application collects and disseminates data from the statistical survey on university libraries and higher education and research document services.
The General Statistical Survey of University Libraries (eSGBU) was established in 1976 to provide central government with national statistics. It collects activity data from university libraries, INSA and large institutions, interuniversity libraries, the documentation services of groupings of institutions, French schools abroad and the services responsible for scientific and technical information for public research institutions (EPST, EPIC, EPA and foundations).
The information collected each year through this survey at the Department of Knowledge Dissemination and Documentation (DiCoDoc) promotes regular monitoring by the State of the activity of higher education libraries. They also constitute a reservoir of quantified data, at the service of evaluation procedures.
