Departmental Archives of Mayenne - Register of entries since 2022

Description

The proposed data summarises the essential information on the composition of archival entries at the Departmental Archives of Mayenne since 2022. The dataset shall include information related to the bodies producing the documents, the volumetry and the description of the funds. It includes all documents entered into the main building of the Departmental Archives, regardless of their medium (paper, digital) or form (iconographic documents, documents in paper form, parchments). The dataset does not include the archives of the Departmental Council whose administrative useful life has not expired and which are entered in the pre-archiving centre. These data are extracted from the archive document management database (Archaea software package – Anaphore company), document entry and processing module. The record of entries is fed by the archivists responsible for collection as the archival entries are made. They may change according to the processing operations carried out in-house following the entry of documents. Although the data is known, some non-mandatory fields in the data schema have not been published, for reasons of confidentiality. This is the case for the fields linked to the bodies or private persons who provided the documents (orgaVers, servVers, orgaProducer). The indication NaN was used to indicate that the information was not available. In the absence of immediate information, the ‘activiteProd’ field has not been filled in. When the initial elements included in the fields "datesExD" and "datesExF" corresponded to centuries, it was decided to mention datesExD "1800" and dateExF "1899" to symbolize them. The extreme dates corresponding to the revolutionary calendar (e.g.: year V) have been converted into Gregorian calendar years.
