Writers' residencies 2010 - 2014
Description
The regional programme of writers’ residencies makes it possible to associate an author with a place, in a dimension of support for literary creation and cultural action.
Objectives of the aid:
* Foster a living relationship between the inhabitants and literary creation while allowing the author's own writing project.
* The "residence" is understood as the association of an author and a host structure to carry out a literary action project over a period of 2 to 10 months.
Beneficiaries:
* Organizations carrying out a residency project:high schools, libraries, social centres, works councils, hospitals, etc.
* Persons in residence: authors, translators, literary critics, French and foreign.
* Authors: have published at least one self-published work in French or translated into French, or texts in at least three journals. (The draft must be prepared by the author and the structure.)
* Translators: have translated at least one book published on behalf of a publisher.
* Literary reviews: have regularly published articles in newspapers, magazines or literary magazines.
* The recipient of a scholarship is eligible for a new grant three years after the end of his/her residency.
