Collection of biowaste in high schools in the Ile-de-France region
Description
The sorting and collection of organic waste has been mandatory since 2016 for all producers of more than 10 tonnes of biowaste per year (Grenelle II Act of 2010). This obligation has been generalised to all public and private actors since 31 December 2023 (Law on Energy Transition for Green Growth of 2015). It is up to the establishment to set up this collection at source and the recovery of food waste.
The data allow establishments to identify the territorial public establishment (EPT) or the agglomeration on which they depend for this establishment. If their territory does not organise the collection to date, the school will then have to call on an external provider and thus identify the providers who operate in neighbouring high schools.
