Young Violence Listen: characteristics of calls

Description

Details of the calls received by the Jeunes Violences Listening telephone service: number of requests, calls handled by listeners, calls handled by the filter, types of calls (e.g.: jokes, interviews, insults, etc.).

Details:

  • Not all telephone requests are managed (e.g.: night calls)
  • The filter corresponds to a device for marking unwanted calls (e.g.: insults, jokes), which makes it possible to limit their renewal temporarily.

All figures are percentages.

Jeunes Violences Écoute is a scheme for young people, parents and professionals facing situations of violence, set up in 2000 by the Ile-de-France Region and entrusted to the Ecole des Parents et des Educateurs d’Ile-de-France (www.epe-idf.com). It includes a telephone hotline (0 808 807 700), a website (www.jeunesviolencesecoute.fr) and activities in high schools. Listeners-psychologists and listeners-lawyers ensure the implementation of the device.
