Cultural actions of the Orchestre national d'Île-de-France - 2012

The report lists the cultural activities carried out by the Orchestre national d'Île-de-France during 2012. Anxious to introduce the world of classical and symphonic music to its audience of tomorrow, the Orchestre national d’Île-de-France develops and offers each season an inventive, rich and ... playful cultural action!
Each cultural activity is developed in relation to the symphonic season of the Orchestra and adapts to all its different audiences in the Ile-de-France region.
The objectives of these actions are to:
* To discover the world of the symphonic concert
* Raising awareness of the orchestra’s repertoire among young people – and other audiences
* Involve them in musical projects with the orchestra
The various cultural activities proposed are:
**Composons (workshops)**
The students create an original work, in connection with a concert of the symphonic season,
assisted by a composer and a musician from the orchestra. Collaboration with the orchestra
is part of a journey of discovery (meeting with musicians of the orchestra, presence
a rehearsal, a discovery of the orchestra’s professions, a visit to the Maison de l’orchestre).
The participants then interpret their creation.
**Rendezvous with - to the discovery (meetings)
** Soloists, conductors and musicians of the orchestra reveal to the public, with the help of a mediator,
the secrets of their profession and the classical repertoire. A rare opportunity to simply dialogue
with great musical personalities. Musicians of the orchestra, in small numbers, can
also come and interpret a work during a mini-concert.
**Light on the concert (conferences)
** A mediator presents to the public the works of the concert planned at the city's theatre.
With musical excerpts, it guides listening and encourages listeners to identify their identity
and the flavor of each piece.
**Let's sing before
** Just before the concert, invite amateurs to come and sing choirs or echo tunes
to the programme. The choir is made up of people of all ages who will work with the conductor
choir and will be accompanied by a pianist. After two or three repetitions will take place
public performance.
**Musical Show
** In recent years, the orchestra has been creating musical performances (tales, children’s opera)
suitable for young audiences for reciting, singer(s) and orchestra.
**Educational concert – Classify the Orchestra!
** The educational concert presents a work of the symphonic program with the help of
a mediator to make listening more active.
**Singing with the orchestra
** Singing with the Orchestra is a participatory project where students, for the duration of a school year,
discover choral practice and become choristers by living a musical adventure
unique with the Orchestre national d’Île-de-France.
